Instead of me having to go to far-off places in order of quench my thirst for fashion, for the next 8 days, fashion will be coming to me! Needless to say, I'm pretty excited.
To start things off, tomorrow is Fashion Has No Borders, a huge trade show. And guess who is supposed to be there! Canadian fashion legend Jeanne Beker! Is it too nerdy to ask for an autograph if I get the chance? I would probably get super star struck if I see her. I'll be meeting up with some fashionable ladies, so it should definitely be a good time. I am planning on posting up pictures and such tomorrow.
Then starting on Sunday is Alberta Fashion Week! This is actually the second installment of ABFW, but I was unable to attend the shows in the fall. That said, I am super excited to have gotten media accreditation for my blog! There will be tons of updates from those shows, as I am super excited!
On that note, I also want to thank the Calgary fashion industry. It may be small, but it's expanding and I've found it to be very supportive of my little blog. Anytime I've asked to attend an event (both ABFW and ArtWear), they've always agreed. I'm glad they are spreading the blogging love. All I have to do is ask!
