If only...

So, I went on a little net-a-porter window-shopping spree this evening and this is what I fell in love with this time:

Burberry Prorsum

Marchesa

Christian Lacroix

Moschino

Christian Louboutin

Unfortunately for me, I'm not really in the position to be purchasing any of these gems any time soon, but a girl can dream, can't she?

Alexander McQueen

Still looking through the Fall 08 shows, but I've found another favourite (big surprise here, it's been one of my favourites for a long time): Alexander McQueen.! I really liked a lot of the looks in the fall show. The variety of looks was very diverse, which I think can be good and bad. Good because there is a better chance of appealing to a lot of people, but bad because it's not really cohesive. Regardless, I'm in love with the collection and think that the looks are gorgeous. My absolute favourites are the dress with the peacocks and the last dress with the gorgeous colour and delightful frills. Absolutely incredible.

Sorry again for the absence, I've been sick and doing a lo more sleeping and a lot less blogging. Apologies. Anyhow, I figured I might as well get started on Fall 08 with one of my favorite designing duos: Victor and Rolf! There were some definate themes, with the words "NO" and "Dream On" appearing everywhere (including in giant letters on the front of coats). I think that the second last dress is terribly clever and I absolutely love the first photo. Generally, I think the collection is lovely and everything I would have expected from Victor and Rolf. Back!

Hey! I'm terribly sorry that I've been away for the last few days, but life intervened in the form of a midterm and Father's Day. But I'm back and I've been looking at the Resort collections. One of my absolute favorite collections in Stella McCartney. Some of the dresses are absolutely delightful! Very exciting. Here are a few of my favorites:
I'm sorry, I know I'm a little behind, but I'll try to play a bit of catch-up this week. Let me know what you think or your favorite resort collection this year. <3>

Grrrrrrr. You're a Sexy Stiletto.
We're talkin' a triple threat of sass, style and power piled into 4 inches of perfection. Sometimes strappy and flirty, other times pumped up and deadly. You always look fabulous and are the resident style guru amongst your friends. Subtlety is overrated. You know what you want and you aren't afraid to go after it. You're strong, independent and sharp as a tack. And men can't resist your incredible charm.

I took a quiz on Kaboodle about what type of show I am and this is what it came up with (which is funny since I rarely wear heels, partly because it's not really my personal style and partly because I'm 5'9" in flats. Plus I love flats!). Anyway, I'm not really that sure how accurate it is, since some of the questions, none of the answers appealed to me.

So, please take the quiz at https://quizzes20.kaboodle.com/s/53616c7465645f5faeab117ab8668458a24eb949daea75eed1a1ac3e49863c17e081244c5400292a and see what result you get! <3

Pet Peeves

So today I was stopping in some of the shops on my way home from work (I work is a fairly trendy neighborhood, so there is a few nice shops). Anyway, today I decided to stop in one of the shops that I hadn't been in since probably January. Anyway, I remember when I was there about five months ago, I saw a cute pair of Rocket Dog shows I considered buying (but didn't). Anyway, when I went in the shop today, the same shoes were still there, in the exact same display spot and not even marked down. Old stock is one of those things that annoy me immensely and I think it's very important to keep your stock up-to-date and fresh (my mom used to own two stores and she agrees). I guess it's not surprising that there was no one else in the shop the whole time. I'll also through in a picture of the shoes, solet me know if you think they're cute too! <3

Models are an integral part of the fashion industry, so I thought I'd post up some pictures of one of my favorite models: Gemma Ward! This girl from Perth is one of my absolutely favourites. She was discovered at a taping of "Search for the Next Supermodel," and has since been the face of Jil Sander, Hermes, Valentino, Calvin Klein's Obsession, Christian Dior, Louis Vitton accessories and D & G. As well she's been on a bunch of various Vogue covers and opened and closed major shows. Here are some of my favourites from Spring 08: Valentino, Karl Lagerfeld and Hermes! (Photos from NY magazine)
