Spring Stripes

As you all may know, stripes are one of my favourite patterns (along with florals, of course), especially for spring. Somehow stripes manage to feel fresh every year. I adore the classic white and black stripe, though this spring I'm definitely ready to branch out into other colour combinations as well. These are some of my favourite stripe-y spring looks. EyeStudio Makeup Look

I got some really kind comments complimenting my eyes in the last post, so I decided to do an little how-to. Plus, I'll be uploading this to facebook for a chance to win some cool prizes. Please vote for me and my look! Just find it in the list of looks.

To start this look, I (partially) covered my dark circles, but I didn't cover them fully because I wanted the look to stay natural. Then I used the Maybelline EyeStudio palate in 10 Mad for Mauve. I used the first pinky shade as a base and especially in the inner corners of my eyes to brighten them. Then I blended the medium pink shade on my eyelid. Next I used the skinnier end of the applicator to add some of the darker plum colour to the crease of my eyes. The green colour I used under my bottom lashes instead of eyeliner. Finally, I finished the look off with XXL PRO mascara in 24HR BOLD.

Weekend Outfits

Here's a round up of my outfits from Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I had a generally lazy weekend. Just enjoyed the beautiful weekend, checked out lots of blogs and did some packing as we are moving at the end of the month. Yesterday I also stopped by the mall and got a few things at H&M. I got the full white dress from the Garden Collection, a two-pack of tights (both worn below) and a pair of flats (also worn below and a bit on the small side when I got them home). No more snow!

Almost all of the snow has melted, but it's been gusty and cloudy and cold the past few days anyway. Here's what I wore today to go to the store and hang out at home. Also, please enter my competition! You only have until Thursday to enter!

Springtime in Alberta

So, we have been a bit spoiled with good weather here in March, so now Mother Nature is getting us back in April. This picture was taken out of my back door at about 7 pm when I finally got home from work. April snow brings I don't know.

Here is my first makeup look using Maybelline EyeStudio. For this look I used the gel eyeliner in Eggplant, the XXL PRO mascara in Curl and the Colour Plush eyeshadow palatte in Taupe Temptress. I like the look, even though it's a lot more makeup than I usually wear. I really like the brush that comes with the eyeshadow palette because it has one end that works really good to apply smudgy eyeshadow along the lower lash line.

Maybelline EyeStudio

Today my Maybelline EyeStudio makeup arrived. I'm so excited! They've sent me a bunch of eyeshadows, mascaras and eye liners to test out and show off to you guys. EyeStudio is designed to give you the effect of a makeup artist, without actually having one. I'm super excited to try it out, so stay tuned for all of my experimental looks!
