If I were a fairy-tale princess, I'd hire Elie Saab as my royal dressmaker. He would make me beautiful dresses like in his spring couture and I would wear them to tea parties with my other princess friends and they would all be crazy jealous. But I would let them borrow a few and we'd go play croquet.
While my story might not make a lot of sense, the moral is that the dresses in Elie Saab's spring 2010 couture are gorgeous. (Photos from style.com)
You all probably know by now that I'm a huge fan of what John Galliano does at Christian Dior and that couture is my favourite (usually because there's hats!). So I was definately excited to check out the photos of the show (not quite big-time enough to merit an invite, but oh well, that's what style.com is for). As usually, I thought it was great, especially the begining where the models looked like dressage riders. I love the fitted jackets and they made me consider wearing my hunt coat for everyday, if only it wasn't one of the most expensive items I own. Although I got a couple new ones for Christmas, so maybe I can start wearing my old one. Anyways, I loved the jackets and the gorgeous volumunous gowns. So beautiful! And I love how John Galliano looks ready to take a dressage test at the end. All he needed was a horse! (Photos from style.com)
PS: Was I the only one a little freaked out by the eyebrows?
