New skirt and new project
So, today is the Pudding and Pie debut of another of my purchases: a brown plaid United Colours of Bennetton skirt. My boyfriend has already started to jokingly refer to it as a kilt (which is pretty close I guess). Regardless, I really like it and I got a good deal on it (major sale, plus everything on sale was an additional 25% off the day I went there). There were also adorable purple boots (also in red and yellow), but they only had tiny feet sizes left.

I decided the best thing to do would be to just start sewing. My newest project (started yesterday) is a white print tank. I've finnished the top and now just have the bottom half to complete. However, the fabric I bought was a remenant (50% AND buy 1 get 3 free) so I'm a little limited but I think I can make it work. Here's my progress so far (and you get to meet Matilda, the dressform my auntie is lending me. I think she's an antique (Matilda, not my auntie)).

First Outfit Post in a While
So I know it's been too long since my last outfit post, but here it is. The purple coat was one of the recent purchases I mentioned in my last post. It was a great find at an extreme end-of-season sale. What do you think? I apologize for the gross bathroom shots, but I didn't have much of a choice. Oh, and I also got bangs on my holiday! I haven't had any since I was 9, so they're taking some getting up to.

Coat - Vero Mode, Jacket - Tatullah, T-shirt - Jacob Connection, Jeans - Bluenotes, Belt - Banana Republic, Shoes - Adias, Headband (can't really see) - Ardene

Eek!
Gosh, my holiday from blogging went a bit longer than I thought. But on the bright side, I do have some new purchases to show off. Some of them are in the laundry right now though, so they will have to wait until the next post.
On a bit of a sillier note, my boyfriend (who doesn't know the first thing about fashion, though as I type he's insisting (jokingly) that he's a fashion designer) and I sometimes played a little game where I would try to teach him the names of fashion designers and have him identify them. He's getting much better, though he insists that D&G stands for something quite different.

Monique Lhuillier
More fall shows means more love. The next show I've fallen for is Monique Lhuiller. I love the frothiness of the dresses. It's as if she's making the best of the reccession by remember that luxury is still important. Lovely. Happy Valentine's day! By the way, I won't be posting for the next week or so, as I'm going on a little holiday for a week or so. I should be back posting on the 23rd. I'll miss you all! (Photos from style.com)

It's that time again
Fall 2009 looks are coming out! So far I'm loving Peter Som (first 2 photos) and Lyn Devon (last 2 photos).
Peter Som's looks are so sophisticated and gorgeous. I love the second look so much!

Lyn Devons looks are really fun. Either of the two I've shown would be great to wear out and I think they're both quite young-looking dresses. (Photos from style.com)

Stress + Procrastination = More Stress
I have a midterm tomarrow for which I am as prepared as I know how to be, yet extremely worried for. There are parts I don't understand, but we have no textbook and I've asked my professor and classmates, but I'm still confused. I'm taking comfort from the idea that everyone else I've talked to is confused as well and that half of the midterm is take home.
Anyway, here are some photos of my outfit today (you can tell the time difference due to my batteries dying by the light in the window is one and the dark in the other). I'm sorry for the terrible mirror pictures, but my bf isn't around and I'm terrible with the self-timer.

Toque: Joe Fresh Style
Scarf: Joe Fresh Style
Mittens: Buffalo Jeans
Coat: Joe Fresh Style
Shirt: Jacob Annexe (It doesn't exist anymore, but I think it's now Jacob Connection)
Jeans: Nobody

He's just not that into you
Sorry for the delay in posting, but I've just been busy and am considering my priorities. Anyways, this is just a short post. I just wanted the post my favourite looks from the premier of He's Just Not That Into You. Jen and Drew look lovely! I like Drew's hair much better now. (photos from celebrityfashionwatch.com)
